Zac Posen's prefall presentation looked very mumsey to me. The images here are the hippest he offered. I do love the color blocked gown, but all in all not for me.

She's got legs, and she knows how to use them. Let's hope she's got a boat load of Spanx too! Can a rel human actually wear this collection? The color is great. I like the asymmetric touches and love the blue coat, but really Donatella, get in touch with reality.

Diane von Furstenberg

I like the play on length and volume here. Voluminous over slim, long over short. Has a British festival feeling. There's a little something for everyone, one of the keys to DVF's success.

Chanel

One guess where Chanel held their pre fall show........Did I hear you say China?! Ding ding ding!!! The show was held in Shanghai just opposite the store they recently opened there. Uncle Karl was obviously inspired by life on the Bund. From Mongolian lamb to cheongsams to red lacquer this show had it all.....or too much. You be the judge.

Burberry Prorsum

Soft and hard, tough and lady like, Dark and light. I loves me a good juxtaposition. This collection has it. A little military, a bit of ruffle, a smidge of wool, a touch of silk and a sky high platform bootie- I'm in!

Carolina Herrera

For me Carolina Herrera's pre fall collection was all over the board. Goddess, flamenco, tweed, 60's. Don't get me wrong, there are beautiful elements here (the color block gown is amazing, the palette is beautiful), but I'd like to see a little more cohesion.
