Calder Calls To Me

For the first time ever an exhibition of Alexandre Calder's jewelry will be exhibited at the San Diego Museum of Modern Art. The exhibit brings together 90plus pieces, all worn by Calder's family and close friends. Calder is most well known for his kinetic works. I suppose these can be thought of kinetic as well as they move with the wearer. As a lover of modernist jewelry myself, I'll be heading down south soon to catch the show.....and the gift shop.

Who should be staring out at me from the box, why Cate Blanchett and SJP of course. Enough already! Don't get me wrong, I love me some Cate and SJP but come on, put the models where they belong and leave the celebrities on the big screen.
